Been a while eh?
Well, I'm back in the land of the connected. After about two months of being what my friend Tyler described as 'low tech,' I have a new smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S4) and have obtained new editing software. Being cut off from social media and networking, the only thing I had the chance to edit were stock photos I went and found, and pics that I took myself, until the camera on my tablet crapped out. It helped me to focus specifically on particular areas of editing that I felt I needed improvement in. Which I will have the chance to go over in subsequent posts.
The Stock Photo Project, as I am now calling it, let me find a new balance in the difficulty between editing proficiency and artistic ability. When someone else does the hard work of actually creating the art, it allows me to focus on the transformation, something I would sometimes lose sight of. After some time engrossed specifically in changing the looks, feelings, and tones of a particular piece, I now feel better equipped to focus more on my own creations, and for this I am very greatful. I will be continuing my previous art projects, but I am sure my viewership will notice a difference between the previous posts and the post-low-tech art styles I have begun to adopt.
